We are currently faced with major stock issues, meaning lead times cannot be guaranteed for the CHARGE-PAK charging stick and Quickpak electrode pads .
This is due to a temporary stop in production during the Coronavirus pandemic as well as material and resource constraints.
We appreciate the delays we are faced with have a direct impact on our customers and their life-saving equipment and we understand the concerns around this.
We are able to provide some peace of mind surrounding the indicators you may start to notice if your consumables have expired and you are still waiting for a new CHARGE-PAK charging stick and quickpak electrode pads.
There are four indicators that can appear when your defibrillator is turned off. These indicators allow you to determine whether it’s ready for use or needs attention just by looking at the defibrillator.
When the red CHARGE-PAK battery indicator is first shown on the CR Plus, the device actually has 25 shocks left.
When there is a red battery symbol and a triangle attention indicator, there are 6 shocks left when this is first shown on the device.
Table from manufacturer.
We are concerned with the safety of the general public and believe that everyone should be no more than a 3-minute round trip away from a defibrillator at all times.
For this reason and given the discontinuation of the CR Plus device and the ongoing stock issues, we are advising customers who own the LIFEPAK CR Plus unit (especially older units) to consider upgrading their defibrillator to guarantee the support and readiness of the device with immediate effect.
