defibshop are pleased to now offer the highest quality ECG machines and accessories from seca.
seca have been worldwide market leaders in ECG machines and medical scales for many years.
ECG machines are standard equipment in ambulances and health care settings. An electrocardiogram - or ECG (also known as EKG) is a test to record the heart's rhythm, rate and electrical activity and to detect problems with the heart rate or heart rhythm. It may be used alongside other tests to help diagnose and monitor conditions affecting the heart.
The range includes PC, tablet-style and stand-alone ECG machines to cover all needs. All seca ECG machines come with a 3-year warranty.
The seca range of ECG Machines comprehensively covers cardiology requirements in both Primary and Secondary Care. seca ECG machines are either compatible with or integrated with the main EMR packages, including EMIS, SystmOne and vision.
Whether you require portable, interpretive, PC-based (wired or Bluetooth capable), seca ECGs offer the perfect solution.
What does an ECG test involve?
Although it is called a 12 Lead ECG, only 10 electrodes are used to get the 12 traces. The small electrodes are attached to specific parts of the arms, legs, and chest. The electrodes are connected by wires to the ECG machine which picks up the electrical signals that make your heart beat. The electrical activity is recorded and printed onto paper or saved as a PDF onto your computer.
The test is simple and straightforward, taking just a few minutes to complete. It's important to lie as still as possible as moving affects results.
There are certain seca ECG machines that offer an on-screen preview. This avoids wasting paper on a bad ECG as you are able to check that it's good quality before printing.
