Posted by **Sarah McLoughlin** August 25, 2021 When someone goes into Sudden Cardiac Arrest, every second counts. Every minute without CPR and defibrillation reduces the chance of survival. Register your defibrillator with The Circuit today to ensure Ambulance Services can access your [defibrillator](https://www.defibshop.co.uk/defibrillators) in an emergency.   [![Register my defibrillator](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/6413484/b7c890c3-f859-4c47-ad8a-8deb6912b435.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/6413484/b7c890c3-f859-4c47-ad8a-8deb6912b435) ### What is The Circuit? The Circuit - the national defibrillator network provides a national overview as to where defibrillators can be found. Currently, the 14 ambulance services across the UK each have their own defibrillator database for their area. The Circuit brings this information together into one database.  When you register your defibrillator on The Circuit, the location of the defibrillator and status is instantly synchronised with the emergency services' systems to ensure the information is kept up to date and ready to help save lives.    ### How Does The Circuit Work? You can get your defibrillator [registered](https://bhfnddb2cprod.b2clogin.com/bhfnddb2cprod.onmicrosoft.com/b2c_1_signuporsigninpolicy/oauth2/v2.0/authorize?client_id=233e4d21-24f4-4772-ba28-a36cc81bd5bb&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.thecircuit.uk%2F&response_mode=form_post&response_type=code%20id_token&scope=openid%20profile%20offline_access%20https%3A%2F%2Fbhfnddb2cprod.onmicrosoft.com%2Fndd-prodread%20https%3A%2F%2Fbhfnddb2cprod.onmicrosoft.com%2Fndd-prodwrite&state=OpenIdConnect.AuthenticationProperties%3DJ3ChPqK4aV_PEz7UXHBI01PiibrleLQp8o21QfxlGE2GzinmoDZoqNtPJJBg2_BZaNVuC7dehUk_WQ7d_zGChNNuLeEMZFtqeq72LBPBhpIKyPv5IS6q12W7Hd3KDl9MWT-74Fpg_thiF3FCDhX-BAaknNVgXGcwHQMmsDVy4mr_bB2ssJTM8PhRE8Z1mmy9-tcUXxhmrtioSRQ-QDaiOT-MTD6EnBdgkbPWyVVHatw&nonce=637654823191528169.MWRhNTM3YTUtYjViYS00NzMwLTg2YzItNzk4NTk4Y2JmNzE3NDNiZDk0YzctMTk1Ni00MWJmLWI0MDQtMjYwZWIyOWYwMTMz&x-client-SKU=ID_NET461&x-client-ver=5.3.0.0) on The Circuit in just a few easy steps. 1. Set up your account 2. Register your defibrillator 3. You're all ready Ensure you have the following information to hand when you are registering your defibrillator: - You will need to know the location and surroundings of the defibrillator - You will need the brand, model and device serial number - You will need to know when the defibrillator is accessible - You will need to know the expiration dates of the pads/battery and the readiness status to know if the device is ready to be used in an emergency   [![Register my defibrillator](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/6413484/b7c890c3-f859-4c47-ad8a-8deb6912b435.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/6413484/b7c890c3-f859-4c47-ad8a-8deb6912b435)   ### Why is Registration so Important? The Circuit is the key to making sure that when a Sudden Cardiac Arrest occurs, first responders at the scene are able to access the nearest working defibrillator quickly. At the moment, many defibrillators do not get used because emergency services don't know where they are or how to access them. This can cost lives. Registration could be the difference between life and death.
