At defibshop, we believe everyone should be equipped with a life-saving defibrillator to ensure the best chance of survival in the event of a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). Ideally, you should always be within a 3-minute round trip from your nearest defibrillator.
When treatment is delivered within the first 3-5 minutes of a cardiac arrest taking place, the chance of survival increases from approximately 6-74%. Sadly, just 1 in 10 people survive a cardiac arrest. This is often due to a lack of quick and effective treatment.
We continue to put pressure on the Government to pass the proposed Automated External Defibrillator Public Access Bill to require the installation of defibrillators in all public places. Without this, people will continue to die as a result of SCA because there wasn’t a unit close enough to hand.
As part of our commitment to helping communities, we are looking to donate at least one defibrillator per month into each region within the UK.
Apply for a Defibrillator Donation
It is our mission to equip every person to save a life. If you would like to apply for a defibrillator to be donated to your local community please fill out the below form.
Please note: we would like the donated unit to be kept outside to ensure it is easy to access in the event of an emergency. You will need to purchase an outdoor heated cabinet for the donated defibrillator to ensure it remains at an optimum working temperature.
