This summer, we are incredibly excited to be launching “Around the World in 80 Defibs”, our exclusive new campaign to highlight the placement of life-saving AEDs around the world.
From the depths of the desert in Arizona to the highest viewing point in sunny Santorini, we want to see your snaps of defibrillators found far and wide on your summer travels.
What’s the deal?
No matter what your summer plans this year, whether you’re staying local and exploring the best of the UK, or off on an American adventure – we want you to seek out defibs at the airport, at the beach and anywhere you can, the more weird and wonderful the better!
Send Your Photos!
Once you have your picture(s) we want you to share them with us via our social media pages with a caption of where the device was found.
You can tweet us @defibshop post on instagram or find us on www.facebook.com/defibshop to share your photos where you will automatically be put into a prize drawer to win a Kindle Fire.
In addition to this, you can also make your entry via email. Simply send your picture to savealife@defibshop.co.uk with #defibworld80 in the subject matter to be in with a chance of winning!
There is no limit to entries, so the more AEDs you see and snap, the more chances you have of winning! Just be sure to note the location of the defibrillator and its country of residence to be in with a chance of winning.

To ensure you qualify to win, we want you to use the hashtag “#defibworld80” alongside your post as well as including “@defibshop” in the post whether you share your photo on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. This is so all photos can be found easily as well as helping to get “defibworld80” trending worldwide!
The aim of our campaign is to highlight the importance of AEDs in public locations and the life-saving difference they can make in an emergency situation. Cardiac arrest can occur at any time and in any place with no prior warning which is why no matter whether you’re at the top of a mountain in Peru, dining out in Cannes or snorkelling in the Maldives; it is vital that life-saving equipment is available should a cardiac event occur.
Terms and Conditions
- This prize draw is open to UK residents aged 16 years or over, with the exception of employees of defibshop, their families, agents and anyone else connected with this promotion.
- The competition will run from Monday 13th June until Wednesday 31st August. All entries following this date will not be included in this competition and will not be entered into the final prize draw.
- A person can enter the competition multiple times providing each entry is a new and separate image.
- For entries to be valid, entrants must be following defibshop on Twitter, instagram or have “Liked” the defibshop Facebook page. The post or tweet must include “@defibshop” and the hashtag “#defibworld80”.
- Entries can also be made via email by sending pictures to savealife@defibshop.co.uk with #defibworld80 in the email body.
- All valid entries will be entered into a prize draw which will take place on the Thursday 1st September 2016. The winner will be picked at random from the prize draw.
- The prize for the winner is a Kindle Fire
- Prizes are subject to availability. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, defibshop reserves the right (a) to substitute alternative prizes of equivalent or greater value and (b) in exceptional circumstances to amend or foreclose the promotion without notice. No correspondence will be entered into.
- The winner will be notified via email, Facebook private message or Twitter private message on Thursday 1st September 2016. The winner must claim their prize within 14 working days of defibshop sending notification. If the prize is unclaimed after this time, it will lapse and defibshop reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with these rules.
- defibshop will use any data submitted by entrants only for the purposes of running the prize draw, unless otherwise stated in the entry details. By entering this prize draw, all entrants consent to the use of their personal data by defibshop for the purposes of the administration of this prize draw and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented.
- The winner agrees to take part in reasonable post event publicity and to the use of their names and photographs in such publicity.
