The team at defibshop are delighted to have supported the Defibs for Denton campaign. Denton North East councillor Denise Ward started the fundraising campaign being prompted by the lifesaving actions of Tameside Lifeline Community Ambulance directors John Gilmour and Penny Brooks who saved the life of Tom Webster when he collapsed after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest.

Denise Ward’s initial idea to raise money to buy a lifesaving defibrillator for the hall has gradually grown over the festive holidays, with the idea now to raise as much money as possible to buy devices for various locations across the town, as well as at the hall.

On Wednesday 22nd February 2023 at the Indian Plaza Restaurant in Audenshaw, defibshop donated a defibrillator to the Defibs for Denton campaign as well as attending the fantastic fundraising activities that were on show throughout the evening.

Defibs for Denton-1

We are extremely proud to have been able to donate a defibrillator to such a great cause and look forward to working with Defibs for Denton in the future towards keeping Denton and the surrounding areas safe and equipped for a sudden cardiac arrest emergency.
