Explore the features of the Cardiac Science Powerheart G5 Fully automatic defibrillator and find out why it's our latest Manager's Special.
When purchasing a life-saving defibrillator, there are various factors to consider before making the investment. For example, the environment and location of where your defibrillator is going to be kept are factors that determine what device is suitable for your needs.
The Powerheart G5 is a durable device, built with an IP55 rating to withstand the rigours of harsh environments.
Defibrillators vary in price depending on the unique features offered to suit different needs. For example, some defibrillators have a paediatric function and/or WiFi capability. Other unique features include manual override and ECG function.
All defibrillators deliver the same treatment to a person in Sudden Cardiac Arrest but some added features may be requested or required to better equip the needs of specific establishments or industries. For example, a primary school are likely to require a device with a paediatric function to eliminate the need for paediatric pads, saving time in an emergency.
Cardiac Science Powerheart G5
The Powerheart G5 does not go unnoticed due to the bright and bold orange colour of the device. The sleek, simplistic design allows the unit to be transported easily.
Cardiac Science defibrillators perform comprehensive self-tests to ensure they remain "RescueReady" at all times and the portability of this defibrillator ensures you’re always prepared to take action in a cardiac emergency.
The unit features a hassle-free and easy to follow design for both trained and untrained users. Helpful voice and visual prompts guide the rescuer through each step of the process, allowing users to confidently deliver life-saving treatment.
The Powerheart G5 is suitable for a variety of working and public environments with an IP55 rating. The unit has also been tested to military standards to ensure it remains functional in spite of harsh environmental factors when used outdoors.
The device is available in both fully and semi-automatic configuration –a fully automatic device automatically shocks the heart when analysis determines this is required with no need for intervention from the user.
The Powerheart G5 defibrillator is powered by the advanced technology patent RHYTHMx. This is designed to continuously monitor, detect, and advise defibrillation therapy to treat cardiac arrhythmias.
Based on various clinical studies and thousands of patient applications from around the world, RHYTHMx technology has been proven to be a highly accurate and reliable feature in filtering noise and correctly identifying arrhythmias.
RHYTHMx technology in the Powerheart G5 AED continuously analyses the heart rhythm at every stage of treatment. When being tested, RHYTHMx technology demonstrated 100% correct identification of shockable rhythms and 99.4% specificity - correct identification of non-shockable rhythms.
STAR Biphasic Waveform Technology
STAR Biphasic technology provides escalating biphasic energy and customised, variable energy. This was designed with optimised energy delivery in mind, meaning that STAR Biphasic waveform customises the defibrillation energy it provides to each patient to ensure that the most effective shock and treatment is delivered for the highest chance of survival.
It quickly assesses the characteristics of the patient’s treatment requirements and tailors the defibrillation energy that they’re going to receive. This feature also measures their impedance level, which further assists the customisation of defibrillation energy.
Suitable for All
The Powerheart G5 is a suitable choice for both experienced users and bystanders with no previous CPR and AED training. First-time rescuers benefit from the Powerheart G5’s RescueCoach™ user-paced instruction, intuitive pad design, and automatic shock delivery.
