Chief Executive Officer Bob Andrews and Society Matron and Head of the Benenden Charitable Trust Cheryl Lythgoe have generously donated a defibrillator from defibshop to Debbie from Beverley Community to help raise awareness of sudden cardiac arrest as well as the importance of having a community defibrillator available in the event of an emergency.

Ensuring there are accessible defibrillators in the area you live enables any responder to deliver potentially life-saving treatment prior to the emergency services arriving.

Immediate treatment significantly increases the casualty's chance of survival from 6% to 74%. Without treatment, the chance of survival decreases by 10% per minute. Equipping your community with a defibrillator allows you to act effectively and confidently in the event of an emergency.

We were welcomed to Benenden with open arms, greeted by many friendly faces. The positive mindset and professionalism Benenden Health have as a company left us impressed hearing about their story behind the campaign for the roll out of the defibrillators.

The knowledge of how to use a defibrillator is as important as having one, we were happy to discuss and educate about the world of defibrillators as well as the training available.

We are extremely proud to have donated a defibrillator to such a forward thinking charitable company and look forward to working with them in the future to keep UK communities equipped to #SaveALife
